ars electronicaから今年も招待状が来た
ars electronicaとは1979年から毎年オーストリアで開催されている
テクノロジーとアート、そして現代社会のイベントで、（スティーブ・ジョブズ曰く）「テクノロジーとアートの接点に立つ」アップル社にもぜひ興味をもってもらいたいイベントでもある。
今年のテーマはCODEらしい
COMDEXにしろ、PC EXPOにしろ、MACWORLD EXPOにしろ製品主体の見本市が衰退していく中、複雑になりつつある社会とテクノロジーの関連を見め直すこのようなイベントはますます有意義になっていくような気がする。
本当はぜひ参加したい。しかし、開催はイベント密集月間、９月の６日から10日で、どうにも参加できそうにない。
振り返れば最後に参加したのは今となっては８年も前の'95年．．．
なんとも寂しい限りだ。
もっとも、今年の９月のカレンダー、Seyboldを無視してIBCに目を向けるとArs Electronica-IBC-Apple Expoというヨーロピアンなラインが見えてくる
